Y’Cliff Has Everyone Drowning In Their Feelings
22 year old Y’Cliff Luiperd is popularly known for his covers on various songs including Cassper Nyovest’s “Baby Girl,” Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” and Rihanna “Love On the Brain.” The melodious young artist recently released his debut single “Drowning In My Feelings” and has captured the hearts of the Namibian music industry and his single keeps gaining momentum. The single which was written for a lost love brings back a soulful type of RnB sound that the industry clearly needs right now.
When asked about his plans for his music career, Y’Cliff says that he is planning on releasing the video for his single by end of July and promised that it will create more clarity on the lyrics of the song. The song star who has a hard time expressing his feelings says that he finds that music is the one place he can go to properly express what he feels, and we could not agree more, as his lyrics are not only amazing, but have depth, something that has clearly been lacking.
Speaking about the mystery girl he wrote the song for, Y’Cliff explains that he would get back with her in a heartbeat but she has unfortunately moved on and is happy with someone else.
A 10 track album is however underway and promises to be nothing short of brilliant. But who does Y’Cliff see as a rival on the scene right now? well according to him; no one rivals him currently. He did however indicate that he would love to work with Ras Sheehama and would have liked to work with the late Jackson Kaujeua.
