Was Introducing TeeDee The Dogg’s Most Underrated Album Ever
Many might disagree others might agree but The Dogg’s ‘Introducing TeeDee’ is criminally very overlooked.
This was The Dogg’s 3rd album and it replaced the bootleg album ‘Mshasho Mos‘ which was supposed to be released in December but it never happened because it leaked to the public despite the fact that internet access in 2005 wasn’t as strong as it is today.
This album was different from his previous projects because in this album ‘The Dogg’ started mixing Hip-Hop with Kwaito which was a smart move because the Kwaito genre was starting to die out. The entire album from start to finish was just perfect, most people’s favorite songs on this album was “Keengolo”, “Baby Don’t Go”, “Kankama”, “Inakusha” and “Sing My Song”. The album’s single “Baby Don’t Go” helped The Dogg clinch his first Channel O Award.
Many people have considered this album as one of The Dogg’s worst album because it failed to help win The Dogg’ Artist of the Year at the Sanlam Music Awards, however what people can’t notice is this album was the gateway for The Dogg reaching his peak because his next album You Can’t Ignore would prove to be his best album ever.
