Universal Music Group has announced the launch of Def Jam Africa, the label will be focused on promoting the best music the continent has to offer.

The golden age for African films and music is on the horizon which is why the Universal Music group decided to pounce on this opportunity and launched Def Jam Africa. According to various reports the Def Jam Africa headquarters will be situated in Nigeria, Lagos, and Johannesburg South Africa.

Artists who are currently signed to Def Jam Africa are Boity, Cassper Nyovest, Larry Gaaga, Nadia Nakai, Nasty C, Tshego, Tellaman, Ricky Tyler, and Vector.
