Skrypt Delivers On His New Album
The Namibian hip hop industry is on the rise and we have witnessed good projects drop in 2018, but in my opinion non of them come close to Skrypt’s ‘For The Wait’ album
Everyone expected Skrypt to drop a good album but nobody expected it to to be as good as it is. Skrypt’s rap style on this project is laid back with smooth bars and a good flow, he also proves that his not a one dimensional rapper. It is no secret that 80% of rappers in today’s era of hip hop are one dimensional and they can’t really rap on a Boom Bap Beat. A Boom Bap Beat would expose most of them, however on ‘Wait On You’ the first song on the project Skrypt proves to everyone that he can rap on a boom bap beat. ‘Wait On You’ Ft KP Illest is my favorite song on the project. Skrypt on this album only features KP Illest and Ngai, Ngai is featured on two songs. ‘Candles’ is another song that caught my attention, as it feels like Skrypt is mourning about life in general which is another positive expect because this is something most listeners would love to hear, something which people can relate to.
The current path which Skrypt is operating he will go down as one of the best, as far as best rappers in Namibia are concerned Skrypt is top 5 for 2018, possibly top 3.
