Senegal Lose Opening Match Against Holland

Holland sucker-punched Senegal after scoring two late goals to go joint top of group A alongside Ecuador as they seek to make a bigger impression.

Senegal was always going to struggle coming into this World Cup following the loss of Sadio Mane, regardless they were very competitive against Holland in their opening match until two late goals from Cody Gakpo and Davy Klaassen which gave Holland all three points.

Senegal can still advance to the next stage but they have to beat both Qatar and Ecuador to have any chance to qualify.
