Sadio Mane Wins African Footballer of The Year Award
Senegalese forward Sadio Mane has been named the CAF African footballer of the year following an impressive season with Liverpool.
24 hours after making his debut for his new club FC Bayern, Sadio Mane took the first flight to Morocco to attend the Confederation of African Football award ceremony. Mane was in the top three with former teammate Mohammed Salah and International teammate Eduard Mendy, however, it would be Mane who would get the most votes to win.
Mane was extremely happy after he claimed the award suggesting that the goal is to never give up.
“Let me tell you just one thing: Never stop believing in yourself!! Thank you to everyone for helping to achieve my dreams!”
