Qatar Lose Opening Match

Qatar lost the opening match of the World Cup 2-0 against Ecuador after the South Americans dominated from the get-go.

The World Cup is back but this time it’s happening in November and not June, the host nation Qatar took on Ecuador in the opening match of the 2022 World Cup, Qatar struggled from the beginning as the South Americans took the lead thanks to Enner Valencia who would score another to ensure the three crucial points for his team.

Qatar has become the first host to lose their opening game at the World Cup and will now have to beat Senegal to progress to the next stage.
