Oratile Hlongwane the World’s Youngest DJ
Meet DJ Arch Junior or AJ, real name Oratile Hlongwane, he’s a 6-year old DJ.
According to his mother, Refiloe Marumo, it all started when his father Glen Hlongwane decided to buy an iPad for his then-unborn son. His father, a gymnastics coach and aspiring DJ, downloaded educational apps for his son and disc jockeying app for himself. The disc jockeying app soon became the one-year-old’s favorite, as little Aj from Johannesburg, South Africa figured out how to use it.
He won ‘South Africa’s Got Talent’ when he was just three back in 2015. His name has been entered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest club DJ in history – and now he’s just stolen the hearts of millions of people around the world after appearing on the latest episode of ‘America’s Got Talent.
DJ Arch Junior completely wowed Judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, after an electric performance on the America’s Got Talent (Champions) stage. As with the South African audience, he left Americans in genuine disbelief as he showed off his musical prowess on the decks.
He was first discovered by social media users when his family started posting videos of the toddler showing off his talent on a mixing deck. However, his amazing talent and exploits did not end there. Today, he is a popular DJ and is a regular performer at entertainment events both locally and around Africa.
