Namibia Defeat Mozambique 2-1 In The Opening Match of Group B

The Brave Warriors have defeated Mozambique 2-1 in their COSAFA Cup opening match to go on top of Group B, thanks to goals from Joslin Kamatuka and Absalom Limbondi.

The Brave Warriors debuted their newly blue kit against Mozambique, Mozambique dominated the early proceedings as the Brave Warriors set back and waited for the counter attacks and created the best chances but couldn’t capitalize on them. The Brave Warriors took the lead in the 69th minute as Limbondi found space down the right and his low cross was turned home by Kamatuka. Mozambique responded immediately as they leveled matters 8 minutes later as substitute Siti scored a stunning free-kick.

Absalom Limbondi scored the winner for Brave Warriors from 30 yards as Namibia would defend well in the remaining minutes to kick start their COSAFA with a win
