Myrna Clayton America’s songbird live at the NTN
April is a jazz appreciation month. Do you love Jazz music? Well, guess what? The U.S Embassy is thrilled to announce a free Jazz concert to all music lovers, on the 10th of April at the National Theatre of Namibia and the 12th of April at the Warehouse Theatre.
Myrna Clayton’s experience from America, is here to celebrate the American culture of Jazz music. Nothing compares to the LIVE performances of America’s Songbird Myrna Clayton! Her career as a singer blossomed at her father’s church when she began to sing at the age of five.
She has performed across the world in Germany, France, Great Britain, Nigeria, and Russia as well as across the U.S from New York City to New Orleans. America’s Songbird is an entertainer, singer/songwriter, band-leader, flutist, A&R/vocal performance coach, and studio-session singer. She is equally at ease in performing Smooth Jazz, Classical Jazz Standards, Swing and Contemporary Jazz.
America’s Songbird Myrna Clayton is loved for her charming and generous persona, her gifted and authentic performing artistry — and for being a loving force for humankind. Her willingness to help others develop their artistry comes from Myrna’s belief in paying back a debt of gratitude — for her gift of song.
The members of the Myrna Clayton Experience are, Myrna Clayton on vocals, Marcus Williams on drums, Joel Powell on the upright and electric bass, Gary Harrison on the tenor sax and ewe and William Menefield on the piano.
The Myrna experience will be joined by Namibian saxophonist Suzy Eises. The performance will start at 20:00 and the public is encouraged to come no later than 19:30 and tickets are available for pickup, from the American Cultural Center. And the Warehouse box office.
