Lioness to Perform in Malawi

Once again Namibia baddest female rapper is taking her musical career international as she is set to perfrom at the Lake of Stars Discovery concert in Malawi. Last December, the rapper was chosen to represent Namibia at the Coke Studio in Nairobi, Kenya, on which she paired up with Boity and Nazizi to release a song entitled “Switch It Up” aimed at empowering women.

The rapper shared the exciting news on Twitter with her fans saying, “So happy to announce that I will be performing at the lake of stars music festival in Malawi September 2019!Alongside @Moonsanelly.”

Lake of Stars concert promotes Malawian arts and tourism through international interaction and exposure. The concert has a line up of music, talks, poetry, theatre, film, art and activities from Malawi and across the globe.

Lioness will be performing alongside DJ Lag, best known as the Gqom Sound of Durban. He has co-produced a track on Beyonce’s Lion King Soundtrack, Moonchild Sanelly who was recently also featured on Beyonce’s Album, The Gift, Bongeziwe Mabandla and many more prominent artists from the continent.

Lake of Stars Festival will take place on 27-29 September 2019, in Malawi at the Lake of Stars.
