She is one of the rising female rappers in the hood with hottest music videos and a bodacious look that catches niggas attention. She grew up in Windhoek City and Hip-Hop has been her life. Who is Lioness and why that name?
Lioness or rather lion was a nickname given to me because I had so much hair on my head.
When did you start rapping and who inspired you?
I actually started off trying to sing but then that didn’t go too well. Inspiration came from Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, Left Eye, Salt-n-Peppa, Da Brat and Eve. Music was always in me I just had to get it out
Do you belong to any label at the moment?
I was and probably will be an independent artist from now
What inspired your music and music videos?
Inspiration is always from life lessons and encouragement from what I’ve gone through. I love cinema and performing arts so I would love to always do so much more in my music videos.
You recently released the music video of Dreams. Tell us about how you came up with the concept?
Initially I wanted a video that was conceptualized to what I was rapping about, however Reggie had another idea and it came to that.

This is my first time working with them. Very professional, very patient and absolutely stellar quality.

- I fell whilst walking to my car and all the drawers came out.
- Having my shoe break in the middle of a pedestrian crossing

- Having my wig slip off on the plane

I start cussing

You are one of the most hardworking females in a male dominated industry, do you feel any pressure?
There is always pressure but never intimidation!
There have been a lot of female rappers that come in the game and disappear. Are you one of them or will we be expecting more music from you?
Lol I’m here to stay and be in everyone’s face hate it or love it yo music always cooking.
