Lille Crowned Ligue 1 Champions

Lille have won their first-ever Ligue 1 trophy for the first time since 2011 ending their 10 year league drought to claim their fourth title.

The Ligue 1 this season has been one of the most competitive leagues and like La Liga it went right down the wire, Lille went into the final match knowing that all they needed was a win and a win they got, goals by Jonathan David and Burek Yilmaz helped Lille beat Angers 2-1.

Lille’s overall squad has been good but Burek Yilmaz has been among the stand-out player this season conjuring up 16 goals & 5 assists.
