KK Promises to be the Biggest Artists on the African continent
After walking away with two awards on the 7th of September, the future is even brighter for Hip-Hop artist. KK’s career has been filled with enormous success. To date the rapper has bagged a total of four NAMA awards and has also won a Whatagwan Award in 2011.
In an interview with Wamboesbelike, the rapper said he is humbled and blessed for walking away with two awards at the 2019 Namibian Music Awards. “I feel more than blessed. My team, and I worked really hard on the song and video and to get that approval and recognition really means a lot. “Khaima” is one of the best songs I’ve ever done and one of the best songs ever released in this country and the same goes for the video. I’m super proud of it.”
KK says his love for films grew stronger, when he had the opportunity to audition, a few years back, he got the role and ever since he has always been fanatic and very passionate about acting. Adding that, “It’s not easy at all but I love what I do and that makes it less of a burden. Anything you’re forced to do will eventually run you to the ground but if you love what you do then it’s a different story. After all this is the life I chose, so I’m willing to take on as much as I possibly can.”
Like many Namibia artists KK aims for the stars and won’t stop until he has made it. “I’m going to be the biggest artist in this country and I’m going to be one of the biggest artists on this continent, and that’s a promise. I really want to grow in acting, and I hope I get more opportunities to work on it.”
Early this year KK was nominated by the Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards in the category of Best Male Actor. He unfortunately did not win but he love the recognition and experience. “It was a surprise at first, but I really do appreciate the acknowledgment. I must admit that I really wanted to win but also I wasn’t gutted that I didn’t. It’s all part of the game.”
The rapper urges his fans to be on the look out, as he is about to drop another blaze album. “The best album in Namibia is dropping real soon so please be on the lookout. We’ve worked really hard on this project and supper stoked and excited for everyone to hear it. Also, I really do appreciate all the support from my fans over the years and I thank you all.”
