Kaboy Kamakili Splits with Manager

Namibia’s fastest raising musician Kaboy Kamakili is in the mist of controversy as he has parted ways with manager Abed Jona and OnFleek Media.

Leonard Makili, aka Kaboy Kamakili, burst onto the scene’s when videos of him rapping went viral via Wamboesbelike social platforms which resulted in him getting noticed by Abed Jona who eventually became his manager. Kaboy immediately gained a large figure of followers on Twitter and Instagram, however it turns out that Kaboy’s Twitter account was being controlled by Abed Jona and his On Fleek Media company. Abed addressed the situation as he came out on Twitter and released a statement.  

“OnFleek Investment and Kaboy were in a trial run of seeing whether they could work together formally and officially or not. This all happened the week during Kasi Vibe and after. The events, interviews and studio time were all being monitored and guided by the company.”

Furthermore Abed explained why Kaboy’s Twitter account does not exist anymore.

“Everything that the company did for Kaboy, the plans and all were pulled off. The Twitter account which was created and being run by the company was also deactivated. We made all that clear to him and told him to create his own Twitter account.”

Kaboy Kamakili is yet to release a statement regarding this matter but by now, he could be the most wanted man as music labels in Namibia are set to fight for his signature.

Thank you to everyone who understands why I did what I did regrding Kaboy. I will send in a press release, stating exactly what happened.

I can’t stand seeing all these allegations of me not booking accommodation or so for him for a show that didn’t happen under my management.
