Italy have ended their trophy drought and won their first Euro trophy since 1968 after failing to win it in the Euro 2000 & 2012 after reaching the final on both occasions.

Arguably two of the most apprise teams at the Euro’s came head to head in the final with Italy being considered as favorites, this was England’s best chance to end their trophy drought and they were on course to achieve that as they took the lead in the early minutes of the game thanks to Luke Shaw, Italy equalized in the 2nd half thanks to Leonardo Bonucci, the match went to penalties were Donnarumma would save Saka’s penalty to clinch the Euro’s for Italy.

Italy vs England was regarded as either “It was going to Rome”, or “It was coming home” at the end of the day It went to Rome as Italy came out on top to win their first trophy since 2006.
