Heal Our Land Concert – spreading love through giving
The heal our land concert an initiative that was birthed by Manda Gabriel host their first charity event. The event was held at PWC orphanage house in Greenwell on the 25 of May 2019.
The main underlying factor of the event was to spread love. Under the theme spread love the organisers donated blankets, clothes, ball pits, snacks, played games, and educated the learners to reuse and recycle.
The event started off with a devotion and a pray from one of the team members of the HOLC, which was later companied by a jumping castle that the kids totally loved and music that made them dance. Heal our land team members freely joined the kids as they sang along and danced to the songs that played.
“We believe in love and we believe in giving to those that are less fortunate, as the bible states that God loves a cheerful giver (2corinthians 9:7), and that Jesus taught it is better to give than receive (acts 20:35)” Jason Shilongo said.
The heal our land team not only aims to bring the nation of Namibia together and to spread love, but the organisers aim to educate the nation about various issues as well. Maria Kiinge and her colleague showed the kids how to reuse and recycle bottles and use them for arts craft or even better. The kids loved the craft work and they also shared with the team members how to create flower using tissue paper.
Just as reminder to everyone. The event is scheduled for Saturday the 3rd of August 2019, at Zoo park Amphi Threatre. The concert features Manda Gabriel, guest artists Zaza Mokheti and Dumi Mkokstad, supported by many more local gospel artists. Gates open at 4 pm. Concert starts at 6pm.
