FC Bayern Retain The German Super Cup

FC Bayern outclassed BVB 3-1 to retain the German Cup as Julian Nagelsmann lifted not only his first trophy of the season with FC Bayern but also his first ever managerial trophy.

The Bundesliga started last week in the worst conceivable way for FC Bayern who dropped points against Gladbach, while BVB started their season in the Bundesliga in the best imaginable way after they walloped Frankfurt 5-2. FC Bayern sucker-punched BVB as Lewandowski scored before halftime, while Thomas Muller added another as soon as the match restarted.

Marco Reus’s excellent start into the season continued as he pulled a goal back in the 64th minute before Lewandowski added his 2nd of the game to help Bayern retain the Super Cup.
