Dice’s Transition to Acting
Dice is known for his club bangers uhmazing music, over the past couple of years however, the “Okashushu” hit maker transitioned to acting and we can not seem to get enough of him and his 3rd Will character. We sat down the with the actor to get to know DICE the actor.
The number one stunner who says he has always had a passion for acting says that because of the size of the industry, he hasn’t really considered a career in acting but did always make it a mission to be a storyteller through his music videos. He says that one day he got a call from the producers of The 3rd Will and they asked him to audition; which he did and voila.
Dice who has no professional background with acting says that everything has been a trial for him and that he is only starting to get a hold of his character storyline and personality now, in the 2nd season of the show. The star who will also be featuring in a new show called The Dreamers seem to be doing amazing even without professional training and we are definitely excited to get on board with any of his upcoming performances. He says that The Dreamers is more local based and very home, in terms of the vernac and the story line, its more relateable.
When asked about how he feels featuring in the first ever Namibian series to air on an international broadcaster, Dice had this to say: “When we were casted,
we were not paid for the first season, it was something we did out of passion. The team had no guarantees, we were working by faith. Next thing I knew, we were on NBC and the following year we were on Zambezi magic. It came as a shocker to me, seeing it on NBC and then the first Namibian series to make it on a SADC platform, that was a very big thing for all of us, I was not ready for the transition but it happened.”
When asked about the reaction to the show, he explains that since the airing on Zambezi magic, the audience have increased, fans from Zambia, Botswana and of course Namibia and this involvement shows how many people they have reached with their captivating story line.
Dice also said that it has been amazing working with his colleagues, he says that although most of them have more experience than he does, he was able to learn and bond with them and that they are now like a second family and The 3rd Will is like his second home.
But has Dice left the music scene completely? Not at all, Dice recently released “Bodies” and the song has lived up to and surpassed every bar set by the artist.
Dice has a beautiful four year old son that he is co-parenting and he says that he doesn’t see marriage happening right now.
