Deon Hotto Fires Wits To Victory Against Pirates

Deon Hotto delivered a sublime performance yesterday as Bidvest Wits beat Orlando Pirates 4-3 in a thrilling encounter.

It only took Bidvest Wits 3 minutes to take the lead as Deon Hotto scored a stunning free-kick to put the visitors ahead, Pirates responded in the dying minutes of the first half as Tshegofatso Mabasa scored a fantastic volley to level matters. After the break Deon Hotto proved to be a menace again for Orlando Pirates as he won the ball back into the midfield and went on an incredible solo run before teeing up Mxolisi Machupu who put the visitors back in the lead. Every question Wits had Pirates had an answer as Musa Nyatama leveled matters to 2-2.

Wits would go on to score two more goals as Pirates would score in the last minutes but that wouldn’t be enough to stop away side from securing 3 points which took them second on the PSL log.
