Cook Off Becomes the First Zimbabwean Film to be Acquired by Netflix

Cook-Off TV has made history as it became the first Zimbabwean show to be acquired by Netflix.

Netflix has over 200 million subscribers all over the world and with the world being obsessed with African culture this has created a demand from its viewers for the streaming platform to have more African content. Netflix responded by adding shows like Queen Sono and Blood & Waters. The Cook-Off show focuses on a struggling chef who gets a breakthrough as she is invited to appear on a Zimbabwe reality show where she has to compete against other Chefs.

The Cook-Off show has joined Queen Sono and Blood & Water as films from SADC to join the Netflix online streaming library of films and television programs.
