Cj Dumeni, the co-founder of Chommie Bites, said they aim to provide customers with–The power of choice, “we give the people the power to choose from any restaurant in Windhoek and the product delivered to them no matter, where they stay!” and, “we also want all Namibian owned restaurants to list their product onto our app free. The idea is to help them reach a bigger market.” The business of delivering seems to be the new way of life as Covid-19 has us on a leash.


Furthermore Chommie Bites is focusing on keeping benefits for their customers by placing increasing emphasis on their faster services, accuracy and timed within an hours delivery, with the use of their app. And with the new Covid-19 restrictions as of 16 June midnight, restaurants are heading into a terrifying winter with no lifelines other than delivery platform.

Chommie Bites has always prioritized supporting small companies in the community. “Chommie Information Technology has 3 simple but impactful beliefs: (Why) We Believe Namibia Deserves a Future. When we say “Believe” we really mean we exist and act. When we say “Deserves” we are saying Namibia qualifies or was built for this cause when we say “A Future” we mean a destiny. (How) We make technology that makes our reality simpler. (What) We create technology used by people. To start our journey, we launched our first product; “Chommie Bites’. We believe Namibians deserve faster, easier, and transparent access to the kitchens that they love.” Cj Dumeni added.


In addition, Chommie Bites delivery packages are properly wrapped up because they ensure that all of their drivers follow basic food handling standards, including regularly washing their hands, which we should all be used to by now given how quickly COVID-19 is spreading.

The commerce core ambition is best customer experience and convenience. “Chommie Bites was the first online purchasing experience for thousands of Namibians. Our ambition is to grow the e-commerce industry into a profitable industry for many more entrepreneurs in the country. More so, we aim to offer logistical help to more startups in Namibia through delivery services. Our dream is to build a massive delivery network that taps into the unemployed workforce in the country. Chommie Technology aims to create flexible employment for thousands of Namibians in different regions across the country.” Dumeni says.


Finally, Chommie Bites recognizes that their clients’ needs are diverse. The company is thrilled to announce that a new branch will open in Swakopmund by the end of July for targeted clients. Their long-term goal is to establish themselves in all 14 regions and, in a few years, to expand internationally.
