Brave Warriors Exit AFCON With No Win
Brave Warriors have exited the African Cup of Nations after they lost 4-1 against Ivory Coast despite managing to score their first goal in the AFCON.
Namibia dominated the early proceedings but failed to convert their chances which resulted in Ivory Coast taking the lead thanks to a sublime volley from Max Gradel. The 2nd half kicked off and Namibia found themselves in more trouble as Ryan Nyambe scored an own goal. Joslin Kamatuka who has been Namibia’s best player in the game scored Namibia’s first and only goal at the AFCON.
Zaha and Cornet both scored to ensure an Ivory Coast victory against the Brave Warriors. Namibia finish bottom of the group three points behind South Africa who lost to Morocco in the other game.
