Baxu and The Giant won the best Award for Best Long Short Film at the Global Indie Film Fest, as the film continues to do well internationally.

Baxu The Giant remains to be one of the most momentous films to ever come out of Namibia, it became the first film from Namibia to be featured on Netflix and now it has walked away with an International Award. The film is praised for its robust content that focuses on poaching something that continues to be a huge problem for Namibia.
