Banyana Banyana win 17-0

Banyana Banyana kicked off their COSAFA Women’s Championship as they crushed Comoros 17-0 which become a new record.

It hasn’t been a good week of football for the Comoros Football team for both man and women teams as South Africa and Namibia served them with defeats. Banyana Banyana (17) broke Zimbabwe’s 19-year-old goal-scoring record of 15 in a single match set back in April 2002 against Lesotho.

South African Captain Refiloe Jane was the star of the match as she scored four goals and picked up the Player of the match award. Brave Gladiators will face Botswana tomorrow.
