Banda Makes History At The Olympics

Zambia’s captain Barbara Banda has become the first-ever footballer to score back-to-back hattricks in the history of the Olympics.

21-year-old Zambian forward Barbara Banda is having an ecstatic Olympics as it only took her 2 games to not only score back-to-back hattricks but also equal Christine Sinclair’s record which was set in 2012.   Zambia have lost their first game 10-3 against the Netherlands, however, they recovered well against China to draw 4-4 after they found themselves 3-0 down.

Zambia can still qualify to the next round, but they will need to beat a Brazilian team that’s also in a high-scoring form.
