African Stars Win 3-2 Against KCCA FC in The 1st Leg
African Stars emerged victories in a 3-2 thrilling encounter against Ugandan outfit Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club.
African Stars got off to a horrible start as on the 13 minute Ivan Kamberipa made an awful mistake as he lobbed his own keeper to give KCCA the all important away goal. KCCA become more problematic for the home side as Anaku headed straight to the keeper from a well worked move from the midfield. However, African Stars leveled matters just 5 minutes before halftime Magambo handles in the box as Ambrosius Amseb leveled the tie from the spot kick. African Stars took the lead 19 minutes from time as Youssouf Ibroihim scored. 10 minutes later Kaddu Patrick tapped in from close range thanks to a delightful ball from Anaku. African Stars needing to win got the winning goal thanks to a long range from Youssouf Ibroihim who got his brace as African Stars wrap the first leg with a win.
KCCA FC will host the Namibian Champions on August 23rd at the StarTimes Stadium in Kampala , Uganda.
