2017 Namibian Sports Award Winners

The Namibian Sports Award were held on the 27th of October 2017 at the Windhoek Country Club with theme “Celebrating our heroes of yesterday and today.” The sports stars came out to play as their efforts and handwork were the cause of the celebration. The best of the best looked fabulously glitzy but beneath all that glamour our competitive stars came out to win. The Namibian Sports Awards were hosted by the dynamic stage duo Uejaa Kazondunge and Mappz Kapofi.  The biggest winner of the night was former boxing world champion Julius Indongo who walked away with the MTC Sportsman of the Year award and the Sports Star of the Year award. Namibian sport legends Frankie Fredericks and Harry Simon were among those who received the first ever MTC Sports Legends prize.
